The BlackBerry PlayBook is RIM's first tablet computer. It features a 7.0-inch touch screen display and weighs under a pound, considerably less than Apple's 1.5 pound iPad. The device also has key features the iPad doesn't have, such as Adobe's Flash software and two cameras -- a 5.0-megapixel rear-facing lens to snap pictures and record high-definition video, and a 3.0-megapixel one for video conferencing. There's also ports to show multimedia on computers and television sets, and Wi-Fi to connect to the Internet. The PlayBook runs on BlackBerry's new operating system designed for touch screen devices and offers multitasking capabilities. Additional features include a 1-gigahertz dual-core processor and 1-gigabytes of RAM.
