Motorola plans to launch the Xoom, its first Android-based tablet, on February 17, according to a leaked inventory sheet from retailer Best Buy.

The Schaumburg, Ill.-based company's new tablet, which was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this month, will be priced at $700 from Verizon, and feature a 10.1-inch touch screen display, a 5.0-megapixel main camera and a 2.0-megapixel camera front-facing camera for video calls. The Xoom also runs on Google's new Android "Honeycomb" software, specifically optimized for larger screen tablets.

A few weeks ago, Verizon released a teaser video for the Xoom, announcing plans to begin selling a 3G version of the Xoom in the first quarter. The carrier will release an upgraded 4G-verizon in the second quarter.

The Xoom is one of the first tablets to run on Google's new Honeycomb software. A slew of Android tablets were unveiled at CES, as the Internet giant attempts to catch up to rival Apple and its iPad.
